Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to use WhoCharged?
No โ€” you can look up as many charge descriptors as you want without creating an account. An account is only needed if you want to contribute merchant identifications or track your contribution history.
How do I look up a charge?
Paste the descriptor exactly as it appears on your bank statement into the input field and tap "Identify charge". You can also scan your statement with your camera, pick a screenshot from your photo library, or share a charge directly from your bank app.
Can I look up multiple charges at once?
Yes โ€” paste multiple descriptors into the input field, one per line, and tap "Identify charges". WhoCharged will identify all of them at once.
A charge isn't recognized โ€” what do I do?
If we don't recognize a descriptor, you'll see an option to identify it. Your submission goes into a review queue and, once approved, helps everyone who searches for that descriptor in the future.
How do I share a charge from my bank app?
Select the charge descriptor text in your bank app, tap the Share button, and choose WhoCharged from the share sheet. WhoCharged will open with the descriptor pre-filled and the lookup triggered automatically.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at hello@jodhpurlabs.com and we'll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
The merchant information shown is wrong โ€” how do I fix it?
Tap "Not right? Fix it" on any enrichment card to submit a correction. Corrections are reviewed before going live.
